Biographical Sketch Walter Joy Hitesman, was horn at Lehi, Utah, February 4, 1913, and was but a lad of five years when hla mother passed away on October 18, 1918. His father also passing away May 17, 1922. Mrs. Jones fell at her home early Tuesday morning and was found an hour later by a neighbor who came to start the fires for her. She was born in Jylland, Denmark on December 1845 30, a daughter of Simeon and Karen t hnstensen. She attended the public schools in Denmark and was taught dressmaking, a trade she followed throughout her life. She was baptized May 26, 1867 into the Latterday Saint Church, and came to Utah in 1869. She arrived in Pleasant Grove on August 15, 1869, soon after coming to Lehi, where she has since resided. She lived as all other early pioneers lived and did her share in the building up of Utah. She married Andrew F. Peterson on September 29, 1869. She was one of the first officers of Jamei E.
