LEHI PLACES TWO MEN ON HONOR SELECTION Surveying the field of scholastic basketball in the Alpine division It Is editor of the Provo Evening Herald, oelecton made by Jean Paubon, sports found that Lehi, B. T. high, Provo, ana American Fork are honored through representation on the all Alpine dlvl sion honor basketball, accordng to i and the writer. Lehl high school with a powerful, big team this year, went through the season of ten contests with the loss of only one game. The success of the Pelican team can be attributed greatly to the mighty work of Marklana All- red, forward, and Don Evans, center. The two were, without question the best of the crop In their respective positions. Allred Is fast, tireless and an accurate shooter from anywhere on the floor, but is especially effective under the basket. Evans was head and shoulders above any other performer at center In the division, his else, ruggedness, and natural playing ability being a big factor in overcoming all opposition In Alpine this season. For the other forward position Jack Eastmond, B. Y. U. high school catpain and high scorer of the division, Is picked. Eastmond is an Ideal high school forward, possessed of tremendous speed, a clever dribbler, and a dangerous scorer at all times, he has been unstoppable all season. The Wildcat captain can shoot 'em from any place on the floor with deadly accuracy, and has a dead eye tor the basket In close range. At guards the honors go to Jimmy Durrant, American Fork, and Tom owan, Provo, ' mi nil,, p jfgr-- : Ladies' House Dresses Regular $1.98 tor 04. rowers Shoe Store. adv. .1,ir r : : Lehl: ' LEHI DEFEATS : VIKINGS 28-3- 8 FINAL STANDING Won Lost P.
