Webb of Afton, Wyoming, spent the week-en- d in Lehi as quests of Mr. and" Mrs. Heber C. Webb. The Strasburg family attended the funeral services in Tooele, Tuesday for a sister of Mr. Oorge Strasburg VICTORY ASSEMBLY AND DANCE I hursday at 2:1") p. m. a victory assembly will be given by the high bchool . At this assembly the trophy received at the tournament for taking second place will be presented to the high school by Principal D- R Mitchell. Thursday evening a banquet w ill be given to the basketball team by the booster girls. Following the banquet a dance for everyone will be held in the gymnasium. The public is invited the danc Everyone will join together and have a (food time at this victory dance. t JUNIORS START TO DECORATE A willing group of Juniors Fet out week to decorate the DansArt-Bthe end of the week they should have a good start on the decorations. this y Maybe one of the reasons for their willingness to work is because of the musical decorations which seem to fit in very well with the merriment. The theme for the dance and decorations is "Melody." The dance is scheduled for April 2nd". FORD V-- 8 PURCHASED BY CITY The Mayor and City Councilmen were in favor of purchasing a new car when the motion was brought up in one of the recent council meetings. A good trade-i- n as made on the old car. Saturday the new Ford was brought to the city and the trade was made. The mayor and councilmen also agreed that the city officials should" wear uniformst so they were ordered and will probably be here within the coming week. DEATH SUMMONS Spii-?iJ;- 43, died Wilma Harmon an home here his following at Friday illness of heart trouble. He was born February 1, 194, in Springville, a son of Harmon Eli and Alice Whitmore Johnson, and lived in Springville until he was 12 years of ige, at which time he came to Ihi with his parent-- . He has made Lehi his home practical every since. He married Fern A. Cough, June! 'C, 191C. He worked as a brakeman n the railroad until four years ago, vhen he was forced to resign because f ill health. Since then he has farm-d- . Johns-n- , He wa.-- an active L. D. S. church vorker, serving as first counselor in A. and first counselor in he M. he genealoyical committee of the Lehi 1'hird ward. He was an elder at the ime ol nis aeam. Surviving are his widow and four aughters and a son, Mrs. Mavis .iadler, Draper; Rhoda. Irvin. Lola and Dons Johnson, all of Lehi: one grandchild and the following brothers and sister: Cecil and Alton Johnson. (Pleasant Lehi; George Johnson, Grove; Cyril Johnson, Salt Lake City and Mrs. Thelma Fox, Midvale. Impressive funeral services were held in the Third Ward Chapel. Tuesday, for Wilma H. Johnson 43, who passed away at his home Friday, following a long illness of heart trouble. Bishop I. W. Fox conducted the services. Sketch of Wilma Har- Johnson Brother Wilma Harmon Johnson was born in Springville, Utah, Feb. 1, 1894, the son of Harmon Eli and Alice Whitmore Johnson. His early youth was spent in Springville and in Montpelier. Idaho, where his father mon was employed. The family moved to Lehi in the year 1906 where Wilma finished his schooling. He then was employed by tHe Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company, as a brakeman, at which he spent most of his life. His work took him to svedal states throughout the west. While he was employed by the railroad company, he met and later married Sister Fern Ann Gough. To this union was born five children, four girls, and one b'y. They are: Mrs. Mavis Sadler of Draper, Rhoda, Ervin, Lola, and Doris Johnson all of Lehi. in He was baptised Springville, Utah. January 28, 1903. by Elder Oscar M' Mower. He was ordained an Eldtr by A. Carlos Schow, January He was remarried in the 12, 1936. Salt Lake Temple, May 27, 1937, by Joseph Christenson, First Counselor to the President of the temple. During the year 1935 and part of 1936 he was First Counseor in the Y. M. M. I. AHe was then transferred to Second Counselor in the Genea-ogicSociety, which position he held at the time of his death. He was afflicted with heart trouble in 1929, at which time he was forced to resign from his labors. Since that time he has been steadily failing in health and for the past three months had been bedfast. The end came very peacefully at 4:50 a. mFriday, March 19, 1937. They were presided over by Harold Fox of the First ward bishopric. Practically everyone who knew Mr. Gray expressed their deepest sympathy for the family. Remarks were made at the funeral as to the wonderful character they knew Mr. Gray to be.
