Limbs of fruit and shade trees were blown down. Flowers were crippled and broken off and a few buildings were blown down. Among the buildings., reported to have crumbled before the strength ot the wind was the large tool and equipment building of George Barnes, the roof of one of Basil Dorton's large chicken coops the barn of M. S. Lott, and the barn of Fred Gaines. The Dorton coop was one of the largest losses. The coops, situated on the hill of 8th North and 6th West are facing the southwest, and the wind blew directly into the front screens, and with the tremendous force of the wind lifting up under the roof a whole section was picked up, turned over and laid none to gently on the hog-peot James H. Gray in the neighboring lot. The coop was filled with chickens but only two were killed. One side of the hot pen crumbled under the falling roof. A cloud burst occurred in Cedar Valley, bringing slight damage to grain on the western side of Utah Valley as the water rushed for the lake.
