"We were recommended to look at Eagle Mountain by someone in Utah County," said L. Jay Mitchell of the Allredge Academy Boarding School. The area where the school would like to build is located on the Teuscher property on the east side of Lake Mountain Road. "Eagle Mountain had the environment we were looking for," Mitchell said. "They had the acreage and the juniper trees and the view we were looking for. And we saw that their master plan accommodated different uses." The plan for the school, prepared by J.D. Williams and Associates, is a building, Mitchell said. The top floor will be about 7,000 square feet and the bottom floor will be between 1,500 and 2,000 finished square feet. The school will house 36 students who will range in age from 13 to 18 years old. The students will spend an estimated 14 to 16 months in residence at the school. It will also accommodate 10 :,.--. A South Jordan man was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs after taking a plethora of prescription drugs and attempting to operate a motor vehicle. Officers from Lehi, with backup d Police Department, were disfrom the where they found the unconpatched to SR-9- 2 and scious man behind the wheel of the vehicle while it was still running. Officers pulled the man from the vehicle, whereupon he became combative; even after he was physically restrained, he continued to fight and kick officers and the ambulance crew. The man was later released to the custody of his wife. A Provo man, thought to have been hit by a car, was found lying face down on west Main Street; officers later determined that the man was merely drunk. He became verbally abusive during medical treatment and while being transported to the county jail. At the hospital, a blood test indicated that he had four times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood stream. At the jail, he threatened to kill the officer when he was released from jail. The three-wa- y stop sign at the intersection of 500 East and Main Street was the scene of an accident which caused $4,000 damage to a Lehi woman's vehicle when a Highland woman failed to stop behind her. The latter was cited for failure to yield, as well as expired registration; to offset the citations, her car happened to sustain only $100 in damages. Several residents in the northeast part of town reported vehicular thefts; most of them, regrettably, had left their vehicles unlocked. Two of the three reports included mainly small items, although one resident did lose $300 in audio equipment in the incidents. The woman who reported her theft told officers that she may have scared the unknown perpetrator when she released her dogs from inside the home; a detective was able to collect fingerprints and dropped tools at the scene of the crime. Using a totally different modus operandi, an unknown suspect used forced entry to gain access to a vehicle parked at a commuter lot; the owner lost $350 in audio equipment. Yet another forced entry vehicle burglary occurred when someone used a rock to break the driver's side window of another vehicle and took a purse and a jacket, which contained personal effects such as credit cards and a driver's license. Interestingly, the investigating officer discovered that the woman had two outstanding warrants for her arrest one for $1,350 for simple assault and the other for $1,000 for domestic violence assault. The woman was transported and booked into the Utah County Jail; the man was warned to stay away from the business under threat of being charged with By Amie Rose greatest A Night's Dream will open Thursday, April 2 in the auditorium of Lehi High School,. 180 N. 500 East; curtain time is 7:30 p.m. Additional performances will be held on Friday, April 3, and on Monday and Tuesday, April 6 and 7.
