She noted that the contest is held to encourage participation in and recognize achievement in the fields of music, art and literature. "We like would to congratulate these winners," Mrs. Bateman said, noting that this year many more entries were received than in previous years. She also noted that the quality of the work submitted was excellent. Allan Olsen, a senior, won in art, with Lynette Lewis, another senior, placing second. In the music division Carolyn Cox won first and Kim Brady placed second. Both girls are juniors. The highlights of this meeting was to welcome the two newly elected supervisors, J Kent Anderson and Stan Lewis, and to acquaint them with their duties. The board reorganized and elected new officers as follows: Boyd Sunderland, chairman; Stan Lewis, Paul Fogg, secretary; and R. Garn Holbrook, treasurer, and Claude H. Hunting and Kent Anderson, members of the board. In explaining the purpose and objectives of the SCD Board of Supervisors, Mr. Sunderland said, "As members of a soil conservation board, we are governing responsible for carrying out a program of soil and water n; conservation within Americans have fought for a great principal-t- he principal that free men can govern themselves successfully. We believe in personal liberty and the dignity of the individual. ' I Kevin Seminary Announces Contest Sego Lily PTA Names Reflection Winners Winners in the PTA sponsored Reflections Contest at the Sego Lily Elementary School have been named, it was reported by Mrs. Leslie Christofferson, chairman. She said that two divisions were made at the school, the first, entrants from first, second and third grades; and the second, entries from the fourth, fifth and sixth grades. Winners were named in art, music and literature in each division. These winners' work will now be entered in another contest. In Division One, art winners Lehi City Councilwoman JoAnn Brown has spent the last week in Washington D.C, representing Utah at the annual Congressional City Conference.
