Ashton, 45, well known Provo business man, died Saturday afternoon at his home, 91 North Sixth East street, following a heart attack after an illness of a week's duration. He was born in Lehi, November 22, 1893, the son of Jos. and Sarah Ball Ashton. He attended the Lehi schools and later attended the Brigham Young university. He married Maude Guckley of Provo, in 1914. They lived in Provo for a short time and later moved to Ely, Nev., where he was manager of the Kemp-- ! ton Commercial company. In 1922 he went to Rexburg. Idaho, and from there went to Ogden where he was manager of a dry good store for six years. The family came to Provo in 1932 when Mr. Ashton became affiliated with the Butler Inc., store.
