Belt Ordained by tho city Council of Lchl City, that a municipal election shall bo held in thlscitvpn tho Tuesday, noxt nfttr tho first Monday In November, 1803, and biennially there-niter there-niter for tho election of tbo following ottlcera of the city, vlr: ft mayor, five councllraen, rocordcr, treasurer, marshal, mar-shal, collector and a justico of tho peace .akcted at larRc. who shall qualify and i i 1 1, i . , i, ,i, i succeeding thelrclec'tion, and continuo in office for two years nnd until their Huccecsorsaro duly elected and qualified. Sks.2. No person shall bo elected or appointed to any ffico of this city, unless he Is a citizen of the United States and a qualified elector within thocltyand no person shall bo eligible to oto at an election unless possessing the qualifications qualificat-ions of a voter as prescribed by the laws of the United States aud tbo Territory of Utah and has been a constant resident of tho city during the six months next precccding said election, nor shall any person bo eligible to any nice who is a defaulter to tho corporation. ''no1', as he may desire to vote thereon, whicli ballot shall be neatly folded, and placed in one of tlio envelopes provided for that purpose and dellvorad to the presiding judge ol election, who shall in tho prcseuco of the voter, on tho name of tho proposed voter being found on tho registry list, deposit the samo in the ballot box, without any mark whatever being placed on such envelope, otherwise tho ballot shall be rejected. Sec.4. All general and special elections within this rilj-shall be held and conducted, con-ducted, and returns mado thereof as is now, or tuny hereafter be provided by law. Sec.5.
