But few teams were out, but few Btreet i discussions and the usual election i excitement was conspicioue by its J absence. There was but little betting . q and tho talk seemed to favor tho election 1 of a mixed ticket. But few people ' ' voted in the morning but came in in tho afternoon and evening. No one had an m idea of how it wjould go when the polls C - closed but whon counting began the w Democratic side soon took the lead and f. i held it to the finish.
