Show 1 ,Thc School Election. According to the announcement a J Caucus was held in tlic Central eeliool houso on Saturday night to nominatM a ' school truatoo to succeed Mr. Jas, I ' , Carter. At 8 :30 tho meeting waa called to order by Mr. Carter who stated that ho would not bo a candidate for ro- -oloction A. J. EvaiiB wag elected j, ,4 .chairman and G. N. Child secretary. George Webb nominated John E. Robs and Prime Evans nominated Win S. f Evans and each mado a speech in favor of their respective candidates. Messrs, W. L. Webb, Newel A. lirown and George Beck were appointed tellers and proceeded to take tho ballots of those voting. Tho llrst ballot- showed that i , ' 2-1 votes had been cast for Ross, 21 v . for Evans and 2 scattering. The chair- j . i man then announced thaUMr, Ross was Iv V itho choice of the meclhfi' and on motion ' Jt of Win. S. Evans it was made unanimous.
