Why not put aside one day a month for yourself, and on that day reserve a fewr hours for tea n talk with friends and neighbors! Let it be a holiday for you. Do not plan such an elegant feast that it will keep you in the kitchen half the day preparing for it. Keep the refreshments simple but good. Let this be a leisurely paced pause, an occasion for relaxing. Serve piping hot tea, the kind that's good for its brisk flavor. Tea has a rare goodness which is kind to spirits that get low and weary from the monotony of daily routines and gives you a lift. It is also a very economical beverage to serve. For your party make plenty of hot tea according to the following directions and with it serve your favorite cinnamon buns or brownies. Use an earthenware, or china teapot. Pour boiling hot water into the pot and let it stand until pot is heated. Scalding or heating the pot in this way is desirable to prevent the tea from getting cold while it is steeping. Measure tea leaves into the hot empty pot, allowing 1 teaspoon of tea for each cup of water, and 1 teaspoon for the pot, or 1 tea bag for each cup. Pour the hot, bubbling water over tea leaves (or bag) and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Strain tea. If a milder tea is desired, do not steep for a shorter time, but add a small quantity of hot water to the cup of tea. A set of two pots, one for tea and one for hot water, does the trick. And for daily living, if you would like to introduce a change of pace, cultivate the enjoyable habit of having a "spot of tea every afternoon. 3-- full-flavor- ed Mom Numskull wmeir All Want Ads 10c Per Line Per Issue 75c Minimum Per Issue WANT ApS ACCEPTED any time up to noon Wednesday for insertion in Thursday issue.
