Today, as any teen-age- is chauffeur, nurse, cheerer-uppe- knows, mother r trained message-take- r, and meal-plann- er r, for the whole family. When the cleaner doesnt deliver shell iron a party dress for sister and save secret-keep- er the day. She keeps little brother from tossing that pitcher of lemonade at Susie. Between times she picks up after everybody, gets the dishes washed and notes the beds made and the thank-yowritten that we should write ourselves. Her tireless industry makes father look like a loafer; her example keeps us all u from being bums. In a word, shes a wonderful woman and a great little gal. Of course, we know youre going to buy mother the very nicest present you can afford for Mothers Day. Everyone does. But thats not enough. Give it to her personally. Give her the hug and the kiss that go with it. And plan now to spend that Mothers Day Sunday with mother: on a quiet drive at a movie out to dinner or at home in the easypaced talk that she and all mothers love with their boys and girlss.
