Songwriter Cole Porters memorable Another Opnin Another Show is not only the musical entree that raises the curtain on the first act in Kiss Me Kate, but is also the tune Brent Lefavor, along with the staff at the Promised Valley Playhouse, is singing as they ready the Mainstage for the seasons first production, Kiss Me Kate, with the Opnin night set for Sept. 6. . To assemble this season debut, the Promised Valley Playhouse has enlisted the talents of guest director Brent Lefavor. Lefavor is no stranger to Utahs stages or audiences. He is the product of local experience and hard work. Lefavor graduated from the Brigham Young University with a bachelors and masters in theatre. His credits are lengthy, and impressive, both in acting and directing as well as designing. He can just as easily direct a show as he can design or build its sets or create and implement the subtle, but neccesary lighting which illuminates the entire work. Lefavor recalls one production he worked on with Walk-On- s Inc., at the Shire West theatre. In On the 20th Century" we designed and constructed a set, e and wood using mostly which represented the plush resort train the story called for. It came complete with train, train engines, stateroom, and a bar. We built the entire set, which looked like a million dollar Broadway set, for $1,200. ; For registration information, schedules and tuition costs, please call the Bountiful-Davi- s or stop Art Center at a for Center the registration by which will meet on Tuesday mornings.
