All participants will receive for entering thefcike free races. Citizens race winners' will win prizes from sponsors. , ! The entry fee for citizens; wfll : I be $2. Licensed racers will compete ; for a $500 cash prize list. Their entry fee will ben$5, which includes the Helmets will be required, fdr I the races. The races will be run by North Shore Cycle Club, and members 2 can be reached at fjr 18. All ages of citizens are invited to participate, as well as licensed riders. It will be held on the mall ring road, beginning at the grassy area south of the Sizzler. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. for the citizens faces, which will begin at 8 a.m. Classes for the citizens races will be determined by the number and ages of registrants so everyone has a fair chance for their bike race. Woods Cross defeated Murray 2 while Bountiful lost to Cottonwood 2 and Roy bowed to giving up just five hits to pace the victory for Woods Cross. Richard Forsgren drove in three Woods Cross runs on two singles for the victors. Murrays Chapman struck out nine Woods Cross hitters, but also walked six during the course of JHillcrest While Woods Cross found formatch-ud tune in its Bountiful and Roy couldnt buy their way past their opponents. In another contest at Ken Price Park, Bountiful was beaten by a pitching-hittin- g machine named Steve Delis of Cottonwood. Delis pitched and hit his team to an impressive win over Boun- 7-- the game. 9-- 7-- 0. All three teams played Monday, but results were not available by press time. At Ken Price Park, Murray pitcher Keith Chapmans inability to find the strike zone afforded Woods Cross the opportunity to tet men on base early, scoring a g runs on the pair of way to their opening victory. Woods Cross then added three more in the third to put the game out of reach. Pitcher Kelly Frederickson fanned 10 Murray batters, while first-roun- first-innin- p, tiful. He yielded Delis gave up a two-ru- n homer by Bountifuls Bryce Riddle to account for Bountifuls two runs. But as all of Bountifuls scoring came in the second inning, nearly all of Cottonwoods scoring came then also. Cottonwood scored eight runs in the second. Curveball specialist Miller struck out 11 Roy hitters while allowing only one base on balls. Hillcrests Larry Phelps drove in two runs with a double and a single.
