Show , Lakeside Review South, Wednesday, July 4, 1984 At Playhouse School for Bountiful Area Actors Perform Talented acBOUNTIFUL tors, singers and musicians from the Bountiful area are performing in a. musical show at the Promised Valley Playhouse in Salt Lake City. Titled A Musical Celebration, the performance is staged in the PVP bowery. It features songs composed by Rogers and Hart during the heyday of Broadway musical extravaganzas. He is assisted by Lorrie Hall, musical director, also of Centerville. Rogers and Hart wrote about Ms. Hall stated. 110 songs, Weve selected some 50 for the show, and they include familiar melodies, such as Blue Moon, I Married an Angel and many a Promised Valley Play- house production featuring songs posed by Rogers and Hart. com- Bible Set By Church others. Musicians include Vickie Hall and Doug Parrish, both of Centerville. Ms. Hall, a daughter of the musical director, is a drummer and Parrish plays the bass. Pianist for the show is Val David of Salt Lake. Bountiful singers and actors in the include performance Stanford Smith, Burnett Baldwin, Grace Henderson, Douglas Davis and Blake Heiner. Other performers are Carla of Centerville, Amy 3A on Park- er, Marlene Brinkerhoff and Larry Nelson of Salt Lake City, and Amy Burrows of Sandy. The show has played to capacity audiences since opening on June 18. Performances are at 7 p.m. and will continue through July Vacation BOUNTIFUL Bible School will be held this summer at Faith Baptist Church of Bountiful July 3, until noon. On the lawn of the American Legion Hall, 45 W. 300 FriS., the Monday-throug- h day activities include crafts, games, Bible stories, songs and refreshments. Assisting in the preparation and activities are four, summer missionaries from Bob Jones University, Greenville, S.C.: Mark Dupont, Enfield, Conn.; Kathryn Gray, West Palm Beach, Ha; Dan Tozier, Dedham, Mass; and DceAnn Warner, Lees Summit, Mo. Williams, executive director of the Davis County Mental Health Center, Farmington, was elected vice president of the National Council of Community Mental Health Centers at the organizations 5th annual meeting in New Orleans June 2. Prior to joining Davis County MHC as executive director in 1974, Williams was clinical psychologist at the Four Corners Comprehensive Mental Health Center and staff psychologist at Brigham Young University and University of California at Los Angeles. An Air Force veteran, he also has extensive teaching experience, including 30 months on an LDS mission in Denmark. Williams earned his doctoral, graduate and undergraduate degrees in psychology from Brigham Young University, where he received five academic fellowships and served as president of Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology.
