Utah Enters New Era, Anglers Enjoy Sport Year Round JOHN CANNON Review Correspondent A new era dares to bring a change to one of Utahs most notable fishing regulations. In Fridays board meeting for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources a proposal was accepted to open Utah waters to year round fishing. With the wet weather patterns that have resulted in the flooding of much of the wildlife habitat around the state, some sportsman have become discouraged. Deer herds have dwindled in the deep snow and duck and pheasant lands have been drowned by the rising Great Salt Lake. But at last some good news. Most of us are really excited said Cathrine Quinn, chief of information and education for the division. This is the first step in years to change our fisheries philosophy.
