I figure we should lose by about eight points, but if we wrestle well we could make that up, Tennis said. Because its such a small tournament every wrestler is important. We cant have any letdowns. Even our fourth places are important. I think Box Elder is going to send every wrestler to the state tournament, and if we are going to win the region we will have to do it too, Tennis said. The top four places in each weight category will receive berths in the state tournament. Clearfield defeated Box Elder in region competition but 8 the Bees beat the Falcons earlier in the year at the Brighton dual meet tournament. 30-2- 7. 1 'Mi -- 4. 42-1- 1. v v,, . - r:r'L Iff j ' Weber 2 John Waller (C) dec. Roy 92, Weber 81 The Royals got off to a quick start against Weber and had control of the game from the outset. It was a position unfamiliar to Roy so far this season, but a position the Royals seemed to enjoy. It was a game and we got off to a quick start, Roy coach Ted Smith said. And the new position Smiths team found itself in afforded the Royals a luxury they havent been able to take advantage of much yet. They could afford to make fast-pace- d mistakes. Most of the games weve been in this year, weve been down and trying to fight back. In this game we had the lead and we could afford to make some mistakes without it costing us the ball game, Smith said. Before weve made mistakes at critical times and you just - - - - - - - - - teams we play, he added. Both teams had good shooting nights.
