Show Lakeside Review North, Wednesday, Dec. 7, 1983 3B Rain or Shine Dont Tell Gives License to Blab SHARON NAUTA STEELE Just look at that golf hat! Dave pointed with some excitement to the jaunty visored beret that sat at a rakish angle on the head of ai department store mannequin. As a corridor opened up in the solid wall of Christmas shoppers that stood between us and the sporting goods department, my husband had touched my elbow, and suddenly we were within arms length of the headgear counter. Since when were you interested in a new golf hat? I tried not to sound suspicious. You already have three of them. Yes, my spouse admitted, but that black and tan one would go perfectly with my new golf bag. What new golf bag? I countered, though I knew exactly which bag. The black and tan leather youre giving me for Christmas. Who told you? My lower jaw sagged a full inch, as I remembered specifically last threatening-eve- ry one of our six children not to let the cat out of their Dads Christ caution-ing--n- Wilcox - Child A wedding cereLAYTON on Friday, Nov. 18, in the mony Lane Chapel in Layton Cherry united the former Miss Carin Wilcox, duaghter of Mr. and Mrs. F. I merely drew upon the superior reasoning powers of my scientifically attuned brain and figured out exactly what was in that long box you hid beneath the basement stairs. Oh, I get it! the words came after a long pause, Jennifer told you that there wasnt a long box hidden beneath the basement stairs, and then Stacee informed you that what was in the long box that wasnt hidden beneath the basement stairs wasnt for you. Michael said that what was in the long box that wasnt hidden beneath the basement stairs and wasnt for you wasnt something black and tan, and Matthew added that what was in the long box that wasnt hidden beneath the basement stairs and wasnt for you wasnt something black and tan that you put golf clubs in. Scientifically attuned brain, indeed! Yep, the man threw out his chest. And after Christie and Julie both crossed their hearts that it wasnt a golf bag, I finally figured it out.
