Ronnie Snorgrass earned a 2 year pin, as well as Wcbclos tain, each received their Wolf and their Gold Arrows, David Torres-Ferralso earned a Gold Arrow. Silver Arrows went to Brian Lafontain and Steven Jensen, with Steven Jensen, Brian Cunningham, Sheldon Voight, Eric Ostrand, and Jason Hoit receiving year pins. With one stroke, he hit the upright match causing it to ignite. Not an unusual feat. Unless you happen to be blind. The youth, one of 10 Scouts from the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind, demonstrated his skills during a Boy Scout Camporee organized by the Lakeview Scouting District.! Despite concerns, the handicapped Scouts were included along with over 200 Lakeview Scouts and their leaders on a weekend camp-ou- t at South Fork Campgrounds above Pine View Dam. One boy told me he wasnt as scared about being blind in case it ever, happened to him. After watching some of the handicapped scouts during the weekend, he said he realized you could still do a lot of things even if youre blind. Some of those things included pitching a tent and building a fire. Our Scouts wore black-ogoggles and tried to pitch a tent.
