Show 2B Lakeside Review North, Wednesday, Nov. 2, 1983 Security Couple Is Subject Assistant to the Secretary for Defense Kathleen Troia, and Undersecretary of State for Sweden Inge Thorsen, will be among the guest speakers at a symposium on peace and national se- -' curity sponsored by the Utah Division of the American Association of- University Women - (AAUW). The symposium will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Union Ballroom, University of Utah Campus. The public is invited to attend. Admission is free and parking is available in the lot just north of the Alumni House. the event are The Utah Endowment for the Humanities, the Utah State University Womens Resource Cen- ter, the political science department of Utah State University, and the University of Utah. Dr. June Welling, AAUW Utah division international relations representative, is chairman of the project. Mrs. Thorsen is undersecretary of state, Ministry for Foreign Affairs for Sweden. Gentile St. The couple were married Oct. 31, 1933, in Logan. The marriage was later solemized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Adams was born in Layton, one of 10 children, a son of and Annie L. Adams. His sisters include Birdie Udy, of Bountiful; Blanche Reed, of Lay-toBessie Grove, and Bonnie Kesler, of Salt Lake City. She is the daughter of Joseph L. and Margaret Payne Mabey. She has two brothers, Myron and Phil Mabey, of Clearfield; and three sisters, Louise Mettenet, of San Bernardino, Calif.; Helen Adams, of Logan; and Kathleen of Mill Valley, Calif.
