Show 4A Lakeside Review North, Wednesday, Nov. 2, 1983 Parenting In the 80s Is Topic RelationFARMINGTON ships within the family are the building blocks upon which families are based and are a crucial factor in providing children with the foundation which enables them to do well in situations outside the safety and shelter of the home environment. Love, communication, responsibility, discipline, work and faith, are all ingredients which help develop healthy family relationships and will be the topic for discussion at the third presentation of the Parenting in the 80s series. The program will feature Dr. Richard Chidester. He will be addressing Encounters of the Best Kind: Improving Family Relationships. Chidester holds a Ph.D from Brigham Young University in marriage and family counseling. He is the director of the semi- nary program of the LDS Church. He maintains a private prac- tice in marriage and family .counseling and is well known in the Davis area for his work in this field. Chidester is married and the father of eight children. The meeting will take place today at the Farmington Junior High, 160 S. 200 West, Farming-toIt will begin at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend and there will be an admittance fee of $2 per person or $3 per couple. The Parenting in the 80s series will continue throughout the remainder of the school year, with a program being presented each month with the exception of December.
