Free Concerts Planned at Temple Square The public is invited to end concerts in November free of charge, to be held in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square as part of the Temple Square Concert Series. The concerts start at 7:30 p.m, Fridays and Saturdays, and last approximately ohe hour. They are sponsored by the general acclivities committee of the LDS .Church. , November II, 12; The United States Air Force Singing Sergeants Led by native Utahn Captain Craig D. Jessop, the internationally acclaimed Singing Sergeants , will perform Ivy League songs including WhifTenpoof Song" and Old Man Noah," Americana including Shenandoah" and Cottonfields, religious songs, and the world premier of Three Celtic Invocations by Utah composer and organist Daniel E. Gawthrop. The Singing Sergeants are the official chorus of The United States Air Force. Theyve performed for Presidents Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, and Carter, as well as worldwide. A - , Stake Plans Festival 1' j An innovative LAYTON traveling dance festival is being produced by. the Layton LDS Stake tonight, Nov. 9, at two chapels in that stake! . According to Stake Cultural Arts Specialist Shirely Williams, the performance can be seen in either the Antelope Drive Chapel or the Stake Center on Gordon Ave. The performances will be given simultaneously, with the performers traveling between the two buildings so that all of the acts will be seen by those at tending either building.
