Prior to his Jan. 31, departure for the MTC, Elder Francis will speak at the Fruit Heights First Ward Chapel on Jan. 6, at noon. Friends and relative are invited to meet with the missionary at his home after the services. The new missionary has graduated from Davis High School and LDS Seminary. John Guest, one of the Episcopal Churchs best known evangelists, will conduct a teaching mission at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Clearfield on Jan. 4, 5 and 6. Guest will focus on how reluctance to witness about ones faith can be overcome. It is a message he delivers as a sought-afte- r speaker at churches throughout the country. native of England, Guest was ordained in 1962 after graduating from Trinity College. During a year of youth work in Liverpool, he was introduced to the music of the Beatles. It inspired him to begin his guitar ministry which included writing Christian lyrics to popular songs and composing soft rock music from Anglican hymns.
