Show Lakeside Lakeside Review The Lakeside Review asked readers to write and tell us what urn special about their mothers. Here are some of those her. She definitely deserves the mother of the year award, if not the mother of a lifetime award. Jackie Neneman Age 15 Layton letters. What makes my mother special is that you can always talk to her and she will always understand you. And she will never let you down. My mother always tries her best at speaking English because we come from Argentina. She will always listen to you. She always does her best to please her family. My mom is so friendly that she makes friends everywhere that she goes. And I love my mother very dearly. Brenda Nisguritzer About my mother, Carol Has-le- r of Sunset. My mom is extra special because she took the time and effort to truly be a mom. She worked hard at being a full time mother. Fortunately for me she didnt believe the studies that said shed be unfulfilled if she stayed home. From watching my mother I learned to love and value people. I can remember with great detail the excitement each time I became a big sister. One was a trip to a local hospital and the other was a trip my parents took to California for the sister we adopted. My mother also opened her arms and home to an Indian foster sister and to many children she baby-sa- t. These children were accepted and loved by our whole family. Several even stood in my wedding line years later. My mother would take us with her to visit neighbors, widows and shut-in- s. I watched how the little acts of kindness made BIG differences in peoples lives. She proved over and over that being busy behind the scenes is much more important than "making a scene. She made a difference in our community by serving for years on PTA committees, and supporting my father as a Scoutmaster for many years. She didnt have a son of her own to send but would help Clinton My mother is so special because she gave me the gift of life. She is the greatest, always trying her best to please us. She has always been there for me in every church activity, sporting event and choir performance. She never lets the pantry go empty or the laundry pile up. She always helps me with things. She is so busy, she even finds time to go to church twice a week. She is cool too. She listens to the same music my friends and I do and has the same taste of clothes. She is amazing, it is stressful to live in a house with 1 1 people! She always makes sure my needs are met before she meets hers. I wish I could repay her somehow for all shes done for me. No matter what music station she listens to or w hat kind of clothes she wears, she will always be my mother and I will always love pack and unpack for literally hundreds of Scout camps. She attended mass meetings and helped as an election judge for years. Her example showed me that religion isnt just a Sunday thing but means doing Christlike actions every day in every way possible. My mom took a lifetime to do LOTS of little things to show her love for me and the rest of my family. That adds up to one big ETERNAL blessing to have just such a mom. Mary V.H. Earl Clearfield My moms special because of all the things she does. You see, we dont have much but my mom tries to make the best of everything. For example, for Easter we didnt have much, but she made a great turkey dinner with salad, potatoes and corn. After dinner she gave us each a bag of jelly beans. She used her unemployment check to buy my sister and me each a new dress. She keeps our house clean and always tries to smile even though I know she has a lot on her mind. I love my mom and I know just by the little things she does how great she is and that she loves me and my sister very much. Heather DeLange Clearfield There are many things that make my mom special. The most important has to be that she is always there and will always listen. She and I are very close. I can Saturday May 2. 1998 S tell her anything as well as my other six brothers and sisters can. I know my secrets are safe with her and that she understands. My mom is my best friend. Christy Sphar care of me, you take me to school, you tuck me in at night, you give me medicine when I am sick, you take me to the doctor. You give me xoxo. You take me places. You rent me movies.
