Show Davis Standard Thursday, December Explore holiday traditions at STREET TALK .What would you like to see changed in the schools? v"' 3 3, 1998 X historical society gathering - SALT LAKE CITY The Utah State Historical Society will host a Holiday Traditions Open House from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Dec. 12 at the societys headquarters in the Rio Grande Depot, 300 S. 455 West. The public is invited to attend and enjoy refreshments, music, a lecture program and a 15 percent discount in the Book and Gift Shop. At 11 a.m. there will be a Holiday Traditions program. December holds many observances, each celebrated with traditions and customs from different parts of the world. Come and learn about the importance and meanings of these special holidays that are valued year after year. Presenting the customs are Anne Dolowitz, talking about Hanukkah traditions, Mildred Sparks speaking on Kwanzaa, and Christmas traditions will be given by Phil' No- tarianni (Europe) and Edward Ehs (Mexico).
