Show Davis Recovery Check Entries Sought For Roy Parade payments this year amount FARMINGTON The Davis County division of Utah recovery services has turned over a check for $4,850.96 to the Davis County Commission. The money was collected in June. The service collects funds that are owed the assistant payments office, either because of overpayment or legal responsibility. The Davis County service showed a 15 percent increase in incentive check payments made to the county over last year. It is the only county agency in the state to show an increase. Total check Applications for the 1981 Roy Days parade are currently being accept ed, according toDuane Child, parade ROY chairman. A The parade this year has been moved one hour earlier to 9 a.m. "This was done to coincide with the Roy Days fun run, Sunset to Roy, 5.5. mile which also begins at 9 a.m.," child said. The parade route will be the same as last years. Line-u- p is at 8:30 a.m. at 5600 S. 1900 W. The parade will start promptly at 9 a.m. where it will proceed north along 1900 W. to 4400 S., then west to Sandridge Park where the week long activities will culminate in a festival of games, entertainment, food, and fun. The hydrant would service four homes and a radio station. The county requested that the property owners that would benefit from the hydrant pay the cost of the project. Three of the owners have readily paid and are concerned because of the fire danger at this time of year, Neal Sessions, from the Davis County building inspector said. The other two have exprssed the desire to comply but claim harship. The owners can notmeet the $200 fee immediately Sessions said. The attorney was assigned to draw up promis-sar- y notes for the owner agreements. With $600 of the $1,000 cost now available, the commission approved installation of thehyd-ran- t by West Bountiful city, Aug. 4. to Participate In Two Fair Contests 4-H- ers 1 3, 9:30 HAGGAR 4-- H Fair. Miss Angela Monson, 14, and Miss Wendy Walts, 13, will enter the meal preparation test and style review. The meal preparation contest will be held on Friday at Davis High School in Kaysville. As contestants, the girls must purchase all supplies for the meal and stay within a budget of $8.50. They will make up a menu and prepare a meal for four people plus the judges. Wendy plans to make a dish with lamb, Chinese style and will cook it in a wok. Angela will make a pizza dinner. On Monday the style review contest will be held at Davis High, School. The girls will make dresses. They will be judged on interviews, modeling of their dresses and accessories and construction of the garment.
