Review Editor: Recently changes in the rede- -' velopment act were discussed in a Bountiful RDA meeting. Indeed, an association of RDA directors has been formed with such statute remodeling its - - , most pressing objective. Such an organization can hardly be expected to propose any action other than that favorable to their agencies, their jobs. The apparent centerpiece of the legislative changes proposed was a supposedly limiting mechanism of slowly diminish-- . ing funding. It sounds roundabout to say the least. Also, it received virtually all the discussion which leads us to believe that few if any other changes are proposed which bear preliminary airing at a public meeting. Please help us. Individuals are radically affected by rede- velopment actions. Consider the following proposals, changes which could simplify the action in the long run and provide the individual with only small holdings with better notification and understanding. Proposed changes are within quotes, sup- portive material following. Cities should be required to have a special election in order to set up redevelopment agencies. We dont need busy agencies going in for extensive demolition action either to use such as an excuse for building, or to just leave behind.
