Show Home Pad: Boundary Questioned By CHIME HUBIX Kovlow Corracpondont West WEST BOUNTIFUL Bountiful City Council recently held a public hearing on a mobile home park to be built by Eggett Brothers on west 5th South in West Bountiful and approved the park plan. However, since part of the property in question is claimed by Woods Cross City, the plan will go to the Davis Boundary Commission for a decision. Eggett Brothers had previously submitted their plan to the West Bountiful planning and zoning board which approved the request and to the city council who gave tentative approval to the plan based on the outcome of the public hearing. The mobile home park would be on 17 acres. The park would be surrounded by a six foot wall and would have a club house. Each lot would be owned individually. Although none of the citizens of West Bountiful voiced protest to the park, Woods Cross Mayor Lawrence Urry did express concern about a strip some 200 feet wide by the length of the property that actually lies in land that Woods Cross City claims. Because of Urrys protest, the issue will go before the county 5,000-square-fo- ot boundary commission. The commission, made up of three mayors and three lay people, will decide which city will get the property. West Bountiful Councilwo-ma- n Irene Janes noted that the two cities already share one trailer park and the results have been less than ideal, especially for the residents of the park. She also said she feels strongly that the property should be part of West Bountiful for several reasons. First, West Bountiful already has water lines to the upper portion of the property. Woods Cross would have to install lines. Secondly, West Bountiful is at the present time already feeling a squeeze from the surrounding rapidly growing cities, she said.
