Pierre Haulde, the pro at the Davis County Golf course, opened the bids which were for a John Deere Tractor, a greens aerator, a greens mower, two trucks and two carts for use at the county facility. Bids for the tractor, which will replace a 1962 international tractor were received from two firms. Wilkinson Supply of Ogden bid $11,978.54 for the John Deere and allowed a $1,200 trade in on the old tractor for a total bid of $10,778.54. Swains of Salt Lake City bid $10,117 with a $500 trade in which brought their total bid to $9,617. in ; Bids were also received from persons interested tractor. 1962 International the purchasing Larry Elliot bid $1,200 and Siegerd Nielson bid $902 for the old tractor. It was for $6,000 on a used machine which had 24 hours of use. , ' The commissioners recended their previous action and accepted the low bid from Turf Equipment on the greens mower being replaced. The only other bid accepted by the commissioners was one from Turf Equipment Company on a greens aerator for $3,887. Turf equipment had also submitted another bid on a different type of aerator for $4,063 and Boyd Martin submitted a bid on the same equipment for $4,950.
