After beating the Huskies, the Royals went against the number-on- e seeded Farmers of Granite in the quarter finals and beat them. Last week the Royals survived the Alta Hawks, a dark horse team out of Region 2. On the field of battle, Ernie Jacklin and Paul Waite are mortal enemies, but after the game, and in real life, they are the best of friends. Paul chose Ernie to help coach the Northern team, back in August of 1976. He is ope of the most consistent o All-St- ar 6-- n, Eg-get- Review Correspondent The winter months are often used for training ahd practice by many of Utahs bow hunters and archery enthusiasts. Layton Citys recreation department is offering some help. It has organized a Layton City Recreation Department Archery League. The league has elected officers for the comming year and is looking for people who are interested in bow shooting to join them. Kirk Faulkner, 301 N. Main, 208, is the league president. His wife Penny is the league secretary. Ray Norton, 820 Rosewood Lane, is the Faulkner said that they will be taking registrations for the league up through the first night of the league shooting which is November 30. The league is open to people of all ages and all degrees of shooting ability. It will be a handicap league. They will meet in the enclosed bowery in the Layton Park Common each week for indoor practice Thursday and Friday. Faulkner added that the city has several recurve bows that can be borrowed for youngsters who are beginning to shoot.
