Cougars may be pursued from May 9, 1979 to June 15, 1979 in Iron, Kane, Washington, Garfield, Piute and Beaver counties. THE ENTIRE state is open to cougar pursuit during the 1979-8- THE BEAR season will be open from April 16 to June 15 and Sept. 1 to Oct. 15. Check the proclamation for areas and special regulations. The board agreed to permit bear baiting under strict regulations during this years seasons for archers only.
