NOW ENTERING its fifth year of existence the annual affair attracts former students of Bountiful, Viewmont and now Woods Cross from throughout the area. Some people come in from Florida, California, Idaho, Wyoming and other states to visit relatives and get together with old schoolmates and play basketball one more time. WITH THIS entrants. Years entered thus far include 1963, 1964, 1965-66- , class of 1967, 1968-6- 1957-5- I960, 1961, 1962, 1973, 1975 and 1978. The defending champion in the 1973 is the e event. THUS FAR from the Viewmont graduates those two-tim- tered are 1968-6- 1970-7- 1972, 1974, 1975, 1976 and en- 1977. All these squads claim to be loaded so this year this could very well be a great event. Entered for the first time ever is last years graduating class from Woods Cross High, the schools first ever alumni. THE FORMAT of the even again calls for the Bountiful graduates to play a tournament, the Viewmont grads to play themselves with the winners in both, championship and consolation to meet each other on the final night for bragging rights. Their class is also engraved on a beautiful placfue which hangs at the Bountiful recreation center. THE WOODS Cross club will enter one of the above tournaments whichever they can fit into, Woods Cross has a strong club, young too, which gives them an edge over some clubs. . Again two points for each years difference will be awarded to the older team. Thus is the class of 1968 plays' the 1978 team, with the ten years difference the 1968 team gets a 20 point spot. IF YOU are an individual that graduated one of these .. years and want to play then simply call the Bountiful'city recreation department and they will give you the name of the person to contact to play. So during the Christmas holidays come to the gyms at Bountiful and Viewmont to see all these past heroes in action one more time. The tournament is designed for a good time and each year they seem to enjoy themselves more and more. Touch A Friend. Christnias means' keeping in touch with good friends, far and near. Basson of 1625 E. 750 S., Clearfield, has been assigned to Keesler AFB, Miss., after completing Air Force basic training. DURING THE six weeks at Lackland AFB, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special training in human relations.. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits towards an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force.
