Checking Allegations FARMINGTON A study of allegations that Davis County law officers "enticed teenagers in the use and sale of narcotics is nearing completion by the Utah Attorney General's Office. These charges have been denied by Sheriff Brant Johnson who says the allegations are "false and absurd. Formal charges, if any. will not be filed until after a complete investigation of the matter by the Attorney General's Office, it was explained. THE complaints came to light last month when fathers of two teenagers arrested in the county-wid- e drug raid in early December charged that a Davis County undercover agent and other police officers actually taught the youngsters how to smoke and deal in the sale of marijuana. A spokesman for the State Attorney General's Office, which is conducting the initial investigation, said a preliminary report will be completed soon, perhaps later this week. Smart To Address UAW In a regional meeting to be held Feb. 27 the Utah Association of Women will hear from Mrs. Elaine M. Smart on the White House Conference on Families mandated by President Carter. MRS. SMART will discuss with those present ways to participate in Utah's version of the conference called for by Governor Matheson. Gov- ernor Matheson has asked that each county in the state hold its own hearings to get some "grassroots" feelings on the problems and difficulties faced by the American family and Meeting the ways political policy interferes with the proper functioning of the family. This "grassroots feeling will be fed into the Utah conference and finally the national conferences to be held in June and July.
