Zollinger, 531 E. 200 S., Kaysville, was recently honored and presented an engraved plaque when he was released as district chairman of the Francis Peak District of Boy Scouts of America. He devoted the past four years to this service. Dr. Lloyd A. Paulsen was named the new district chairman. The presentation was made during the dis- tricts annual awards and recognition banquet held in the Kaysville East Stake cultural hall. COLETTE STAHLE ) Michael D. and Peggy R. Allred of 1473 W. 1200 N., Layton are announcing the Mr. and Mrs. Dean S. Stahle of Bountiful, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Colette Thea, to Keith Richard Duncan, son of Richard Duncan of San Mateo, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. David Cook of West Point, Ut. COLETTE AND Keith are planning a June 1 1 wedding in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. May Ceremony LaDawn Simmons and Arlee Clayton Swensen were married May 7, 1982 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. THE BRIDE is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V. Donald Simmons of Layton, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn A. Swensen also of Layton. A reception was held in the Layton Utah Stake Center. Serving as matron of honor was Mrs. Steven (Debbie) Petersen. Alvin Swensen was the best man. BOTH ARE graduates of Layton High School. LaDawn has attended WSC and Arlee the U. of U. He has also fulfilled an LDS mission to Texas San Antonio Mission. They will make their new home in Layton. Colette is a graduate of Bountiful High. She has attended Dixie College and USU. She is employed at the Davis Co. Clipper. KEITH GRADUATED from Clearfield High and has attended WSC. He has fulfilled an LDS mission in Georgia. He is presently a regional vice president for A.L. Allred of Clearfield and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde in Providence, Cache County. He graduated from USU with a HE IS currently serving as a coordinator for the Lake Bonneville Council from the Kaysville 9th Ward. He has also served on the nominating committee for the council and the culture and received his master's degree in administration. He has been vocational director in the Davis County School District for many years. He retired as a major from military service and reserve duty. He has served as director of Vocational Education, is past president of the Davis County Teachers Association, and past president of the State and National Directors Associa- district. Mr. Zollinger had also been devoted to his church. He served three years on an LDS mission in Switzerland, later sent to the Southern State Mission because of World War II. He was bishop of the Kaysville 5th Ward for seven years and has served for 17 years as a Robinson of Battle Creek, Michigan. On May 3, Scott V. and Mary Stewart of Layton became the parents of an 8 lb. 9 oz. baby boy. He will be named Jeremy Nathan Stewart. He was delivered at home by Ronna Hand and Linda Jellings, midwives. Other children in the Stewart family include Ryan, Boyd, Janice and Anna. ZOLLINGER is known throughout the area for his unlimited service and devotion to the scouting program. Other awards he has received are the Award of Merit, Silver Beaver, Bronze Palm and Silver Beaver, Eagle Scout. His scouting career began in 1929 as a youth. Later, as an adult, he served in leadership positions such as Explorer advisor, troop committeeman, scoutmaster, 13 years as chairman of the Eagle Board of Re- -' view and two years on the CLINTON D. ZOLLINGER board of Lake Bonneville Council. He has held almost counselor in two stake presidencies; ten years in the Kaysville Stake with Pres. Alan B. Blood, and seven years in the Kaysville East Stake with Pres. Lawrence E. Welling.
