She was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel W. Ford and Mary W. Call. Mrs. Violet Wood Call, 84, of 682 S. 2200 W., Layton, died Sunday, May 1, 1983 in Bountiful. SHE WAS born April 4, 1899 in Bountiful, a daughter of Daniel Henry and Elizabeth Evans Wood. She married Henry D. Call on Oct. 8, 1919 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Sept. 21, 1978. SHE WAS educated in the Davis County schools and attended the University of Utah. She had resided in Layton since her marriage. SHE WAS a member of the Layton 2nd LDS Ward. She served on the North Davis Stake Primary Board for 32 years, part of which time she served in the presidency. She had served on the stake boards of the Relief Society, the MIA and the Sunday School. She had worked in genealogy. She was Relief Society cultural refinement teacher for 20 years. SHE HAD been an active member of the Layton 2nd LDS Ward. FUNERAL services under the direction of the Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary were held Friday, May 6 in the mortuary chapel with Bishop Noel Flint officiating. Family prayer was by Jeffrey S. Stevenson; prelude and postlude music, Marianne :Viki. Edmonds, accompanied by Sherrie Carver; invocation, Michael L. Stevenson; re Elder Blake Stucki Bennett, son of Dr. and Mrs. Bryce D. Bennett, has accepted a mission call to the Belgium Brussels mission. He enters the MTC on May 26. and Better Than Center on June 30. His mission farewell will be held June 26 in the Kaysville 13th LDS Ward. Elder Kemp is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kempe of 296 N. 700 E., Kaysville. Elder Tyler Webster, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Elliot Webster of Kaysville has received his mission call to the Seminary in 1981. He was in the acappella choir and enjoyed being a member of the Laytone singing group. Scott has taken an active part in church activities and has held several offices in his priesthood quorum. Scott worked for three years at the Layton Safeway store and has completed a course at the Intermountain School of Broadcast. He has been employed the past year at the Cleaners in Kaysville.
