Show ROAD MISHAP CURB SOUGHT IN EDUCATION public education and strict law enforcement were voted the most effective means ot of curbing growing traffic hazard at a meeting recently of cf tho the board ot of directors and advisory council ot of the motor safety league ot of utah the meeting was held at the chamber of com mercein salt lake A throe months program ot of concerted public education in safety methods to bo be waged through the thai public press and addresses before various civic organizations was outlined it wilt wili be further developed through county count y units to bo be organized throughout the state the education program will emphasize the following five points it was decided 1 courtesy Courtes yin in driving 2 proper regard tor for lanes ot of traffie traffic at intersections 3 obedience to boulevard and railway traffic signals 4 parking cares off the highways 6 5 no passing on curves with this program la in mind members of tho the league in each county will bo be asked to organize county units for tho the study of their local traffic problems each unit will deal with its problems in its own manner stressing tho the five points outlined malcom A keyser president of the league presided at the meeting which was attended by twenty nine representatives from all over the state the league avs organized recently at the suggestion of governor goo geo H 11 dern it Is composed of representatives of 0 civic organizations in each county the three months program m starts immediately it was decided mr keyser announced he would call other meetings later to check its progress forty representatives of civic clubs of tho the state were present |
