UIUWIM Vl JTlUlillUVUi Like a bolt out of a clear sky came the news of the sudden illness and death of one of Nephi's, most beloved young men, Roscoe E. Grover. It was only Friday evening, two hours before he was stricken, that he and the writer indulged in a most pleasant and friendly visit at Provo, when he claimed that he was in the prime of health. Just a short time later while talking to some friends on business, an attack of the dread appendicitis him. He phoned to the Provo hospital immediately, and after an examination it was discovered that there had been a rupture of the appendix and the poisonous pus was causing the He was operated peritonitis. upon forthwith and his sister Katie Grover who is a professional nurse, and his family were summoned to his bedside. Men with whom he had business dealings, wept like children when the news of his death was conveyed to them. The sorrow of his death u all the more keenly felt from the fact that he was only thirty-fiv- e years of age and loaves a wife and five children. The Nebo Star made a ship ment some weeks ago that brought them a net return of $38 per ton. The Eva Mining Company has evolved from a big Irish dividend at the beginning of the year to something over four hundred dollars in the treasury. She is no longer a prospect, but will soon be numbered among the dividend paying mines. The Nebo Highland have resumed work, and are rebuild ing their cabins that were destroyed last winter by snow slides. They are going to put on a force of men and about three teams, and will confine them selves to development woik this fall and winter.
