Rest At Evening The day is long and trying, and heavy is the heat; and often I am sighing, while dragging weary feet. The sun is burning o'er me; t h e r e is no grateful t hade; the rows stretch out before me, that I m u s t hoe and spade. But when the sun has wended his pathway to the west, ray weary toil is ended, and evening brings me rest Then comes the kind word spoken by loved ones at the door; then comes the sleep unwoken, until the night is o'er; then comes the tuneful passage of restful twilight hours; thencomes the mystic message of winds among the flowers. The day may treat me meanly, and rob my life of zest, but evening comes serenely, and evening brings me test. And life is but a longer and sadder summer day; the wear heat is stronger, and rockier the way; the watchword is "Endeavor," and till the day is done the labor er may never escape the glaring sun. And thus the harsh world grinds him against its rugged breast, till starlit evening finrjs him and evening him LAWN PARTY BRILLIANT AFFAIR. Quite the most unique and gay affair of the summer social season was the open-ai- r dancing party given by Miss Tola Wright Monday evening. Nearly seventy guests had been invited, and when the crowd had assembled on the big lawn they made up as lively a party as could well bo gotten together. The lawn was charitiingly lighted with colored electric lights Btrung from - the four corners to the center, the center-pol- e being decorated with streamers. Couplred and green ed with the beautiful moonlit the effect was summer most picturesque and delightful. On arriving the guests were supplied with dainty little programs by th painted in water-color- s hostess. Dancing commenced at about ten and continued at intervals until the hours were getting "wee" and "sma"'. Punch was served out of doors and ice cream and cake in the dining room, the guests being ushered in in groups of eight. The table was decorated in j.ink and green, tissue paper festoons, hanging from the chandelier to the corners. After more dancing, games, and other conviviality, the guests reluctantly took their departure, all wishing that sometime it might happen again night Prices Nephi OBSERVER NOTICES: of Market Products That since the new water rega effect went ulations into person is able to get a drink without r'atent flour starting to fill the cup the niiht Straight grade before. THE BEST SERVICE AT FAIR RATES The most valuable telephone Krvice it the cmce that makes communication possible with the greatest number of people. That is the significance of the terra universal service. The great Bell System approaches very nearly this ideal condition. If you have a Bell Telephone, you are connected with a system that serves twenty million people. Isn't that worth while? And isn't it some satisfaction to know that the rales you are paying are only sufficient to cover operating and pay a fair tate of interest on the investment? No bonds on which to pay interest; no water in the stock; in fact, and here's the big thing that commends The Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company, for every dollar of capital stock issued. I here is $1.15 invested in plant. I'.n't that eminently fair to the public. Date of first pub. July l?!h. iub. Aug. 2ml. 1912. 1912 Notice To Creditors. Try it. E.tate nf Charles Trice, decesw.
