Never was a program carried out more successfully than the one given by the public schools last Monday afternoon. The object in giving the program was threefold: first, c 1 e a n up the school grounds and in so doing teach lessons in civic pride; second, give grade children a start in V i athletic contests; third, get money with which to buy musical rj33rds for the victrola. For a week previous to the pupils a n d teachers gave eggs to the school and when the nt last egg was counted it was found that one hundred and fifty four and one half dozen had been given. Ten gallons of ice c 'earn and one hundred and fifty three bags of p e a n u t s were bought and sold. The net proceeds on sale of cream and peanuts was more than ten dollars. The total net proceeds will be more than thirty dollars.' The sports at the north square were enjoyed by all. AtUra number of races the ball game between the boys of the seventh and eighth grades was the center of attraction. This was one of the best juvenile ball games that has ever been played in Nephi.
