Under the present law Chairman Burton says that liquor is shipped into dry territory using fictitious names or just plain "John Doe," and that it was hard for the authorities to keep track of it. Most of this liquor is disposed bv persons conducting "blind pigs." They receive an invoice for the liquor under the name oi "Joe Doe," or snme other fictiou name, and claim the shipment by presenting the invoice to the railroad agent. Chairman Bur ton says that railroad men have scratched off names of consignor of consignee and all labels indi eating that barrels or package, lie explained contain liquor. old law the that permits liquor merchants successfully to defeat the law. Another section touching upon this ijaa follows: "It shail be unlawful to consign intoxicating liquors from any point in the state of Utah to nny other point then in except there be inscribed on the exterior of the outer package containing said vessels in large, legible letters the name of the consignor and the consignee; the name of the contents and quantity contained therein and it shall be unlawful to consign from any point in the stale of Utah to any other point therein any intoxicating liquors to a fictitious per-tto- n ur consignee or in the nan e ofanyoiher person except the actuai bona fide cot.nM'e there of; and it shall be unlawful for TEA RIDGE i .
