It was a crowd of young boys and girls and as they were driving past the Post Office it seems that, either through carelessness or a spirit of the driver dropped the lines and the team, frightened by the shouts of bystanders dashed along the road and turned down Depot Street at full speed. Some of the young girls of the party, con- - j sidenng that it was their move,! jumped out and Miss Ida Downs was slightly injured by the fall. The team was stopped two blocks west of Main Street by running! into a telephone pole.
