Show Ernest W. Macf arlane Democratic Nominee For State Senate To the people of Iron County: The Democrats of Washington County have cheerfully conceded to this county the nomination of State Senator and I have been pre-sumptlous pre-sumptlous enough to accent the nomination tendered mj by Dem-ocritic Dem-ocritic Party. My opponent is Claude Hlrschl, a Republican of Hurricane, i I have no Political handicaps and am obligated to no one except Die people of my district and st.ue. It is you that I intend to represent repre-sent if elected to office. I am a Democrat and my people before nie were Democrats. I am proud of them and Intend to do nothing that would detract from their good names. I have riot forgotten my deplorable deplor-able exrrrleixJ s during the de-r-rssion years. We were all indeed depressed and hard put. Nor have I forgotten tha heroic courage and efforts of our wonderful Democratic lpaders in putting us on our feet again Their accomplishments are too numerous to mention. I stand firmly by the "Old age assistance" lrglstatlon. It Is part of the Democratic program. Any thing that I can do to reward our aged citizens for their past labors I shall cheerfully do. It will be poor recomp'nse at best. I am personally acquainted with Governor Maw and many otlver cromlnent officials of this state. Our state and Nation will be Democratic Dem-ocratic aftr the coming election. T believe that it would te a calnm-Ity calnm-Ity to our country at this critical time were the Demochatic Party not returned to power. I believe that I, as a Democratic senator, will be far more able to aid you hnn T could posslblv do if elected as a Republican. This Is no time for a legislation. He shoulri nss'st rather than obstruct. I will appreciate ap-preciate your support in the coming com-ing election. Ernest W. Macfarlane Paid Political Adveitsment. |
