Show BRANCH A. C. TAKES I ON MUCH NEW LIFE I Danger of Influenza Fast Subsiding, BBj and Public Gathering! and Other Bfl Activities Resumed. BH After a few weeks of "walking on ,B eggs," so to speak, fearing a fresh Bfl outbreak of influenza, the Branch Ag- BH ricultural College is now getting into B its regular stride. Chapel, club meet- BH ings and social functions are now per- BH nutted, and with the ever increasing BB registration, including quite it niiin BB ber of returned soldiers, the school BB is taking on more life than for a long BBj time past. Principal Homer states BH that the B. A. C. is nearer back to its BH I normal attendance than any of th Bil schools he has investigated, includinc BH the A. C. at Logan and the University B of Utah. H A new set of city officers are to BH ' be elected in the next few days, the BH "Student" staff is being reorganized B preparatory to resuming publication B of the school paper, and correspond- BH j cnts for the various county papers B ! of the district are being appointed, BH ' now that there will be some activities Bfl to report. H The night school inr-' :tuted a few Bfl weeks since has a good enrollment and B is going nlong swimmingly. BH Next week the regular reortets BH will be on the job. and the B. A. C. fl corner will be an internet fall; fenture BH of The Record. H Principal Roy F. Homer returned B from the northern part of the state B a few days since, where he accompan- Bfl ied the Legislative Committee that B whs detailed to inspect the Branch BH Agricultural College at this place. BH Mr. Homer expressed pleusure at the B apparent results of the committee's Bfl visit and the report which they sub- Bfl mi tied. While the appropriations he H nnked for repairs and improvements ,fl at the school this year are extremely H conservative, made so on account of H the financial conditions of the coun- H try, there is every indication that his H budget will be cut less than thnt of H any other state institution, if, indeed, H it is pared at all. H The visit of the committee, Mr. H Homer states, wns without a mar or H jur, und they returned with only the H most kindly and unruffled feelings for H the south. H |
