Show MANIPULATING THE UDDER. It is well known that somo cows will glvo down small squirts ot strip-pings strip-pings for a considerable tlmo after a full flow of milk has ceased. This milk Is elaborated from tho last portion por-tion of tho milk-producing material which tho alveoli havo manufactured at tho tlmo ot tho milking. Tho form ation of material from which milk is manufactured goes on all the tlmo, according to our best prcsont knowledge knowl-edge but tho process is especially actlvo at tho tlmo of tho milking. When tho milking begins somo ot tho milk is already elaborated; tho greator portion ot tho milk Is, however, how-ever, most likely formed during tho process of milking from tno material mate-rial stored up in tho alveoli during tho intorvnl since last milking. Toward To-ward tho ond of tho milking tho flow of milk is much smaller than beforo until it practically stops, unless continuous con-tinuous stripping Is resorted to. It la tho rich milk adhering to tho cavities and ducts of the uddor which is thus lost to tho dairymen if tho milking is interrupted at tho point when many milkers stop milking. By slmplo manipulations of tho udder this portion of tbo milking can bo easily obtalnod, and being very rich In butter fat and other milk solids, it will greatly lmprovo tho quality of tho wholo mess of milk If added thereto. there-to.
