Show I Saturday Reception Honors Bridal Couple Mr. and Mrs. Douglas William Manning were hosts Saturday evening at the Fourth Ward Relief Re-lief Society rooms at a reception honoring their daughter, Vyonne, and Harold Gene Sorenson. Vyonne and Harold were married mar-ried in the St. George LDS Temple Tem-ple in a lovely double-ring ceremony cere-mony by President Harold S. Snow. Tuesday, Sept. 21. Following Follow-ing the morning session at the temple the couple made a brief honeymoon tour of the Utah Parks returning to Cedar City for the reception Saturday eveninu. Parents of the bride and groom were standing in the receiving line as were Eugene Overson, best man for the nuptial occasion; occa-sion; Flora Munford, as maid of honor, and Wilma Manning, sister sis-ter of the lovely bride, and JoAnn Sorenson, sister of the bride-groom, bride-groom, as bridesmaids, i Assisting during the evening were Helen McAllister and Emma May Brockmeier serving at the punch bowl with Lolene McAllis-I McAllis-I tor. Barbara Ann Hirschi, Karen and Diana Batty, serving guests who honored the newlyweds with their presence. In charge of the guest book was Ilene Stewart, with Virginia Fullmer, Pauline Unlet and Jean Anderson assist-jing assist-jing in the gift room. The new Mrs. Sorenson is a 'graduate of the College of Southern South-ern Utah in the field of home economics. While on the local campus she was affiliated with the Sponsor Corps as well as the Phi Rho Omega sorority. For the past summer she has been employed em-ployed by Safeway Stores. Sorenson, Sor-enson, a sophomore student at CSU, will eontiune his studies there this winter. Prior to entering enter-ing the college he served with the United States Air Force and was stationed for a time on Okinawa Oki-nawa in the Pacific theatre of op-ertations. op-ertations. The couple will make their home in Cedar. |
