Show Married Friday Mr. and Mrs, Wilford U. Webster announce the marriage of thelr daughter, Lu Jean, to Theon Jepson, PO 2c. son of Mrs. H. J. Wright of Cedar City, the marriage ceremony having been performed by Stake President David L. Sargent at the home of the bride Friday evening. July 13th. Th bride wore a beautiful beauti-ful white satin and lace wedding gown, with finger-tip veil, and was attended by her sister, Joy as Maid of honor, and Bernice Jepson, sister of the Groom, and Miss Carma Or ton, Bridemalds, Wm Gardner was best man. The young couple honeymoned at Bryce National Park, and are now residing at Cedar City until the groom returns to duty with the U. S. Navy. The bride is a graduate of the Cedar City high school and a student stu-dent at the branch agricultural college, col-lege, where she was affiliated with the Phi Alpha Beta sorority. The groom Is a graduate of the Cedar high school, and Is home on leave after two years in military service, eighteen months of which were spent in overseas duty aboard a Destroyer. He has participated in five major lnvalons In the Pacific including Ikinawa, Iwo Jlma, and Slapan The bride was honored at aTrous-setu aTrous-setu Tea given by her mother Friday Fri-day afternoon, with about ninety ladles calling during the afternoon. Assisting Mrs. Webter was Mrs. Wright, and Mrs. C. J. Beasley, Lu Jean's sorority mater. Presiding at the serving table were the Misses Dorothy Thorley and Elaine Leigh. Mrs. Mayo Bybee, Mrs. Blair Nelson, Nel-son, Miss Carol Urle, Mrs. Ben Riddle, Rid-dle, and the Misses Berniece Jep-Arolstlng Jep-Arolstlng with the smlng were son, Carma Orton and Joy Webster |
