Show Former Cedar Man Hurried In Hurricane Funeral services were held In Hurricane Friday for La Von Adams, 36, former Cedar City resident, who died In a Salt Lake City hospital following an extended Illness. Born In Cedar City, on August 23, 1908, he was a son of Robert D. and the late Jessie Ellen Bllllngsly I Adams. He attend school In Cedar City, moving to Hurricane with his family when he was a young man.j In 1035 he married Miss Hannah Smith of St. Anthony, Idaho, and they had resided In Hurricane since. While assisting with wood haul-! lng In 1938, Mr. Adams suffered a I broken neck, from which h had, never fully recovered. In 1942 he received Injuries to his spine when( was accidentally burled under t truck load of sand. He had gone to I the Salt Lake City hospital for treatment when death occured. Surviving besides his widow are three children, Maxine, 8; James. j 6, and Janet, 2, all of Hurricane; his father and stepmither, Mr. j and Mrs. R. D. Adams of St. joeorgc; three brothers, R. O. Adams of Trinidad, California; TSgt. Bert Adams In the Southwest South-west Pacific, and Cpl. Rex Adams, in Oakland, California; three sls-j sls-j ters, Mrs. Eugene Cutler of Great Falls, Montana; Mrs. Otto Dover of Ogden, and Mrs. Martin Sanders 'of Hurricane. I |
