Royce Chamberlain, chairman chair-man of the ron County March of Dimes, told those attending attend-ing what they could do personally per-sonally to assist March of Dimes projects. The audience was welcomed and guest speakers were in- troduced by Susan Murray, Iron County Technical Action Panel chairman. Greetings oni benalf of the CSU administration administra-tion were expressed by Dr. McRay Cloward, dean of the CSU School of Continuing education ed-ucation and Public Service. J. Lynn Uibel, coordinateor of public services at CSU, was conference coordinator. Mrs. Jane Cloward assisted with; registration. The prevention and treatment treat-ment of birth defects was outlined out-lined to some 60 students and health education personnel irom Ir and Washington and leaver Counties attending a special Youth Conference on Birth Defects at College of Southern Utah Oct. 17. Under the sponsorship of the National Foundation of the March of Dimes, the conference con-ference was designed to arm young people with information informa-tion leading to the birth of healthier children in coming generations and to demonstrate demon-strate ways of assisting children chil-dren born with birth defects. Guest speakers for the conference con-ference were Dr. Garth G. Myers, My-ers, director of the March of Dimes Defects Center at the Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City; Dr. David W. Brown, medical advisory chairman for the Iron County March of Dimes; Dr. Wesley P. Larsen, dean of the CSU School of Science, and Richard i W.
