Show Temple rites unite Jill Carter and Elden Ellis ' f..y..r-r "7- jmi.-fy i i ife ia ' ; ;; v s. y Miss Jill Carter became the bride of Eldon Joe Ellis June 2 in rites solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. President Theron Ashcroft officiated at the double ring ceremony. That evening the bride's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin W. Carter hosted a reception for the young couple at the Enchanted En-chanted Garden. The bridegroom's bride-groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Lylloun Ellis, Westphalia Kansas. The bride was radient, in a gown featuring an empire bodice bo-dice of scalloped lace and a wide ruffled organza skirt. The sleeves were tight lace to the elbow and then puffed out in organza ending In a wide cuff of lace at the wrist. The floor length veil was of yards of organza or-ganza trimmed with a band of wide heavy scalloped lace to match the bodice and was held by a mantilla style headpiece of lace. She carried a bouquet of sweetheart red roses with white spider mums and baby breath. Miss Jan Carter was maid of honor and the other attendants were Mrs. David (Heidi) Rind-lisbach, Rind-lisbach, Mrs. Richard (Karen) Steele, Miss Melissa Thorley, and Miss Kelli Carter. They wore long skirts of dark rose, puckered polyester knit which fell from a wide band yoke at the waist. The bodices featured long sleeves and a V-Neck trimmed trim-med with a tiny ruffle. They carried clusters of light and MR. AND MRS. ELDON JOE ELLIS The bride is a graduate of Cedar High School and BYU. She taught at San Juan Jr. High during the past year. Mr. Ellis is a graduate of the Kansas City Institute of Electronics Elec-tronics and recently completed a year's tour of duty with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Prior to the wedding the bride was feted at a shower fiven by Mrs. Connie Nicholson and Mrs. Heidi Rindlisbacher and a luncheon given by Miss Melissa Thorley. dark pink carnations falling to light pink ribbons. Best man was David Rindlisbacher Rindlis-bacher and the ushering was done by Curtis Carter, Line Pehrson and Chad Carter. Mrs. Carter wore a long knit dress of light pink with white carnations and dried pink flowers. Presiding at the guest book was Miss Maxilyn Capell and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Carter acted as host and hostess for the evening. eve-ning. , Misses Verna Black, Kim Wil-Hams, Wil-Hams, Teresa Stewart, Debbie Thompson and Paula Carter served the refreshments on tables decorated with straw flowers In various shades of pink. The organ was played by Mr. Ross Glass and special violin selections were played by Mrs. June Larsen and Miss Melissa Thorley. Gift room attendants were, Misses Nancy McCleve, Joann Redd and Marva Edwards. The bride chose a pink knit short sleeved jacket with a white pleated skirt and white sandals for her going away costume. The newlyweds honeymooned hon-eymooned by 'taking a week . to tour the National Parks and Northern Utah. , |
