Parents of the bride are Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Hansen of Cedar. City. Mrs. Don S. Killpack and the late Dr. Killpack are parents of the bridegroom. Formerly of Paradise, Calif. Mrs. Killpack currently resides in Provo. A wedding breakfast at Bratton's in Salt Lake City feted the newlyweds immediately im-mediately following the ceremony. The bridegroom's mother hosted the event. Many friends and relatives were in attendance. at-tendance. The newlyweds were honored at a reception at the home of the bride's parents in Cedar City. They were further feted at a reception at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Bruce A. Tall, Paradise, Calif. Dr. Tall is a cousin of the bride. He and his wife, Leslie, are special friends of the bridegroom. The bride was married in a heirloom wedding gown which was handstitched by her great-aunt for her grandmother 78 years ago. This dress was also worn by Kathleen's mother on her wedding date. The gown was made of candlelight silk brocade. The bodice yoke extended to a nickline of hand-tucked silk organza. Sunburst pleats fell from the high yoke to the waistline with a tiny bow at the waist. The , skirt had a bustle effect, carrying into the train, with an underslip of hand-pleated , silk organza. The young couple are presently living in Salt Lake City where the new Mrs. Killpack is continuing her medical studies at the University of Utah. The bridegroom has been attending at-tending the U of U, and will resume his schooling at Brigham Young University next fall. He expects to achieve his degree in Agronomy in the spring of 1978. |
